Contents
5 INTRODUCTION
11 CHILDHOOD
John started by asking Alex about his childhood at The Hall, with the railway and river at the bottom of the garden, and the rubber factory just across the river.
19 STEAM POWER
John next asked Alex how he became interested in steam power. Apparently, it all started at prep school.
25 MOTORCYCLING
As soon as he was old enough to get a license. Alex Moulton took up motorcycling. His first machine was a Scott TT Replica.
And knowing how idiosyncratic Scotts were, John asked if it was a good one.
29 AERO ENGINES
So, turning to things aeronautical, how did Alex get into aeronautical engineering?
39 AUTOMOTIVE SUSPENSIONS
After the war, Alex Moulton had the opportunity to stay with Bristol Aero Engines. Instead, he decided to return to the family firm, Spencer Moulton.
57 THE MOULTON BICYCLE
What got Alex interested in developing the bicycle?
87 HOBBIES AND LIFESTYLE
Let's talk about your spare time, now, I mean. do you have time for hobbies?
